A story of friendship and figuring it out.

Sage is an 80’s-inspired comedy feature about a Middle-Schooler facing classism, puberty, and their parents’ divorce. They live with their mother Trill (a baker at a cafe in town) and their mother’s best friend Moxie, (a drag queen who performs in the nearby city). Their best friend is Sarah (who never lets the bullies get her down). The two of them end up as scholarship kids in a summer theater camp run by their biggest bully ’s mother, who lets them know they don’t belong. As the story unfolds, the kids and their families learn to find common ground and grow as people through a series of awkward and hilarious situations.
