J. A. Valentine wearing a silver blazer, a necklace and with hair done up in a gorgeous swirl.

J. A. Valentine (Moxie aka Sage’s mom’s best friend) is an actor/ess and singer who’s sashayed on Bay Area stages for three decades, most recently in “The Legend of Georgia McBride” at Center Rep and in such satirical drag comedies as “BitchSlap”, “Star Trek Live” and “Harry Poofter” at SF Oasis. Favorite stage roles include Frank-n-Furter (Ray of Light), The Emcee (San Jose Stage) and Fagin (Broadway by the Bay). His impersonations and interactive characters have become a staple of the special events scene, particularly Austin Powers and The Grinch. He appears in Darcy Drollinger’s feature film “Shit and Champagne” and it’s upcoming sequel. Look for him this winter in “Panto in the Presidio’s Peter Pan”. Valentine holds the Guinness World Record for Long Distance Tap Dancing (9.6 miles) and still has the blisters to prove it.
